About Michael
Michael Apollo is a seasoned mindfulness facilitator, registered psychotherapist, and corporate consultant. He draws from neuroscience, mental health resources and emotional intelligence to create sustainable behaviour change.
Michael is Founder and President of Mindful Gateway Consulting and a leader in the field of mindfulness with over a decade of experience delivering and researching corporate mindfulness training internationally within Fortune 500 companies, non-profits, and government. Michael is a registered psychotherapist and works with organizations using research-based mindfulness programs and engaging learning methods. His programs and presentations have been called “transformative” and “inspiring”, and have been experienced by over 1-million people worldwide.
Michael leads Canada’s largest professional mindfulness training program, the Applied Mindfulness Meditation (AMM) program at the University of Toronto. Michael regularly lectures at the University of Toronto on neuroscience, psychology, and workplace mindfulness. He is certified in research-based mindfulness training programs, has held a personal practice in mindfulness for 18 years and has attended 34 long-term retreats in traditional and academic settings, and has over 10,000 hours of meditation practice.
Michael is an advocate for leadership mindfulness and has founded one of the world’s largest annual professional mindfulness conference, A Mindful Society, held in Toronto. Canada.
